Quite simply, this area has it all. The city’s warm and dry year-round climate, an endless variety of recreation and entertainment options, a consistently flourishing economy, superb tax structure and close proximity to other landscapes and locales makes it an absolutely ideal place to live.

Its sun-filled days and sprawling desert landscape mean that hiking, biking, golfing, swimming, kayaking and dozens of other outdoor recreational opportunities are at your fingertips. For indoor fun you can visit a casino, go dancing, dine at one of the plentiful and diverse selections of eateries, see a show or a concert and shop your heart out, among so many others. Libraries, museums and theaters also abound. All of these attractions lend to the city’s impressive economy, which continues to improve all the time. Since the mid-1990s Las Vegas has ranked first in national employment growth. Currently the city is home to almost 600,000 people with the Las Vegas metro region being home to almost 2 million people. Another advantage to living in the desert is the proximity to other places. You can drive an hour or less in any direction from Las Vegas and find serenity in nature. A fun river vacation is just 90 miles south in popular summer spot, Laughlin. The beaches, theme parks and culture of Southern California are only a few hours away and air travel is a snap at the McCarren International Airport, serving Las Vegas and surrounding communities of Clark County. But take it from the local residents, once you hang your hat in Vegas, you’ll be hard pressed to find a reason to leave. |
